Yes, cars that have been flashed with ECUTEK are locked.

It really just means they have been totally reprogrammed so they don't respond to the factory read and flash commands anymore.

I think you need to talk to whoever flashed it to have them remove it, but you have to remove the whole tune, so if there are a bunch of aftermarket parts on the car it's not going to be tuned very well for them.

Scott (TTP) has found a way to unlock and flash over it.

Mike, if you went to the track, I got there real late, so sorry if I missed ya. One horrible run is all I had. 2.4 60' and missed 3rd. Have to get used to the new wheels. John retuned my car and it seems to be running much better now. We'll find out on Fri.

Everyone else, HI, I'm George from Orlando, our thread sucks so I visit yours

You do not need to remove any of the tune to add a launch limiter. We can unlock them.

Yeah, I didn't make it. I was lazy tonight and didn't do anything. I'll see ya there nest Wednesday. Are you the one I met at the dyno day?

Wow Scott did you hear that??? Someone else has to get use to a new part on the car. Are you going to start bashing his driving also? I know none of us are at the professional level as yourself, might want to get to know a person before you start assuming things.

The first time I drag raced the Evo was the first time I was on a drag strip in 4 years, with a completely different animal. A good frind of mine died a few years back and he was the one right beside me staying up late at night, missing quite a few days of work to get the car running and to its finished state. After he died I lost intrest in racing and told myself I woudn't do it anymore. So now 4 years later, Im back on the track with yet another new car, new problems, and a new way to drive it. Trust me, I don't need your critique in how to drive a car. But this is the internet and what is said must be true right? Please from now on talk directly at me instead of trying to make an example out of me.
