YEP, Try commercial adhesive remover. won't hurt the paint but will dissolve the plastic. ---Safety tip, use good rubber gloves and a well ventilated area!

Faaaackin A the paint is thick as hell on volk rims!
Im working on hand sanding off the gold paint from my volk gramlight 57s, and its proving to be much more of a project than the stockers! The stock wheels were quite easy, but with the grams its taking almost 4 times as long. The clearcoats both took the same amount of time, but the actual paint is what is taking forever. Plus i am sanding down to right under the gold (to the primer), but not all the way to the metal. (so i can reuse the factory sprayed primer).
I think i may buy a detail sander, dremel w/ attachment, or some "aircraft paint stripper" which works wonders for removing paint
