Hey all,
I have lived in the area for about 6 months. I grew up in Milwaukee and coming back really reminds me why I moved in the first place.....
I read this thread but I don't post very much. I live in Cedarburg and I drive a GG 05 MR. I have seen a few other EVOs in the area...anyway...
Can anyone recommend someone locally who can do cam installs? I had a clutch installed by AMS last week and I asked about labor for a cam install and it is $275. Just wondering if there is someone local who might be cheaper.
Thanks,
Matt

Anyway, I sent you a PM about the cam install. Which cams did you get?

Welcome! You should try to come out to the Buffalo Wild Wings meets once in a while. I know it's a fairly long drive from Cedarburg, but even diamondjaxx makes it up from Racine once in a while... well, once in a long while.

Unless there is a tweater built into the sub, i dont see why anyone would put those in the rear speaker onpenings. It would kill the surround sound.

no one ever really rides in the back with me. Talking with a local installer here he recommends this because i want more bass because of the music i prefer to listen to. then we would put JL components up front with a 75x4 JL amp powering everything.
the though behind the set up front seats would get great sound but i would have more bass without having a box in teh trunk.
I wanted to hear a set up like this though before I did it.

Sounds like an interesting idea, but subs are designed for a specific enclosure size. I am sure your trunk is not that size so I really wonder how well they will respond. Also, the trunk is far from sealed. There are other openings around those speaker openings and the seat allows a reasonable amount of air passage. Plus, the one way vents under the bumper open to the outside and I would expect they would vibrate even more with this setup than they would with a box.
All that said, I too would be interested in hearing it.
