fireball often has the scoop on what road america lapping days are coming up so you can watch for his posts.

Otherwise there is a thread in the midwest section about track days in the area. Gingerman, Road America, and Blackhawk are all doable from Milwaukee.
Thanks for the info!! I am seriously thinking about the next date at Blackhawk Fams. Has anybody been there? Is there anything i should know before signing up and going there?

Thanks again,
Matt

Gerald and I were there last May. It was a lot of fun. I will almost certainly be at the April 20th date.

I would recommend fresh oil, brake fluid and brake pads before any track day.

Damn, I'm jealous. I've wanted a mythtv box for a long time now, but don't have a box to run it on. Too cheap to buy a new one, to cheap to pony up the cash for a dvr.

Evening fochers, how is everyone?

You don't really need a ton of hardware to run a modest box with the ability to record one show at a time.

Maybe like a 1ghz processor, 768MB+ ram, cheap nvidia card with svideo out, and a hauppauge tuner card.

The only reason i upgraded that box was cause one of my file servers took a dump(mobo died) so all of my hardware shifted roles with a new Myth box.
