Found out that the ball baring inside the turbo was getting louder and louder after I turn the car off. So I was in 4 gear on saturday, hit 85mph and all of a sudden car didnt go anywhere! Engine ran fine and the idle was fine. No oil leaks no smoke nothing but tinging noise coming from the intake... Called AMS and they said I have a warrenty on the turbo and it will be replaced. Took the turbo out last night and part of the exhaust turbine is cracked and there is so much shaft play it was hitting the housing.. I had worning signs but didnt think anything of it. Like I said there was a noticable loudness of the bb after turn off of the car. We check everything from the oil feed and coolent lines, turbo got oil and coolent. Check all the valves in the car they were fine! The turbo just blew, but I had no oil leaks. The bb and shaft somehow just got nocked off, and I would love to find out how but I think it was just a bad turbo. Monies keep an eye out on your turbo. We did buy it off a group buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry to hear about the turbo. Its not too big of a deal since AMS is covering it. It could be a LOT worse. You 'll be back up in no time.

I never new that it would have gone like it did. What do you have to watch out for with bb?

honestly i dont know. I have noticed when taking the intake off my car that there is a little shaft play but not much. I have heard that FP says a little is fine. IMO I would have thought your turbo to be caused by an oil feed problem to the turbo, but i could be way off. When it all comes down to it the original 50 trim turbos were journal bearing, not ball bearing, but ball bearing is usually more reliable. It could be the overall design of the turbo. But maybe you could have just got the black sheep of the bunch, who really knows. Maybe the precision could answer that.

Evo might be leaving tomorrow. Going truck shopping.

Finally got pulled over on the jet ski this weekend. At least I got off with a warning for going to fast in a manatee zone. The next day in the same part of river some dumbass rider got himself killed. Heres the story:

I just read through 10 pages of nonsense. This thread is going down the ****ter pretty quick. Everyone jumping on the new people and quick to take sides without knowing actual facts. Is this high school all over again? Maybe Ill get lucky and the car will get wrecked tonight so I won't have to put up with you people any longer.
