Sup Guys.
I took some video of the sound I've been hearing in my EVO.
I realized after I took the video that I now know the reason why I can never get teh sound to occur all that often when someone drives with me. The sound is based on load on the car.
When I took it for a test drive, I had tek3 and the salesman in the car. The sound came up for literally 30-40 seconds and that was it. However, when I'm just in the car, it's noticeable.
I took a couple of friends out to dinner last night (about 15 minutes after taking the videos) and the sound was barely audible.
If you guys could listen, I posted in the EVO general forum, but here are direct links:
1. Short Vid With Windows Open
2. Longer Vid with Windows Open
3. Vid with Windows Closed
People in the forums said it almost sounds like crickets, but it's the car making the noise. You can hear it very well when I slow down to a near stop. Once you hear it when I stop, you can hear it at higher speeds. What I've found is that if you have headphones, use'm. Otherwise turn your head so your ear is facing your speakers and that helps to hear the sound. I can hear it on my laptop speakers here which are junk.
Thanks for the opinions guys. I'm planning on taking it to the DS this morning and having a tech take it out. I'm just curious as to what you guys think it might be.

Turns out having a passenger in the car makes the sound barely audible. With my wife in the car with me today I can barely hear it which is why I have the video clips.
I didn't take it to the DS. I would prefer not to. I suppose I'll just wait to see if it gets worse? Dunno, I'll have to think about it.
