V1 rocks......with laser there is no detector made that is going to save your a$$ if your the first car in line going down the highway. A good laser detector might pick up someone else getting hit so you slow down. I have a Blinder system that is an active laser jammer and I have yet to get a laser ticket. As far as radar and the V1 goes, if you have an old detector you can send it to Valentine for an upgrade. (I believe even the old V1's have better range than the Escort though) Valentine has offered the upgrade whenever a new type of radar comes out (not very often). And you gotta love thoses damn arrows...........

easy there bttk, newimport is far from a noob. I could make a webpage called radarmike.com and write what I want too. It's best to find multiple sources confirming the same thing, especially on the Internet.
