The next time I see any of you "high horse" riders doing anything more than the speed limit I'll be sure to give you a good finger waving and Internet lashing.

The posted speed limit is there for a reason and 1mph over would be putting peoples lives at risk. I know that no one speeds in here except me so I'll be on the lookout.

You guys are really blowing the story out of proportion. Speeding is a everyday occurrence around here (especially on the east side). The fact that he blew the yellow light is more conforting than what some of the fu<king ghetto fu<ks do around my side of town. I'm sure laak knew what he was doing and was minding others around besides the yellow vette. Even though most just judge from an internet story i accually know laak and he is a very respecting driver...so don't give him a hard time for something when 90% of you would have done the same thing.

Stock for stock the new gearing is probably acceptable but once you run the car a little hotter its out of gear in no time at all. I hate having to reach for 5th. You are pretty much gear limited to 100mph in 4th. That is complete crap. Fourth gear in my 8 was just coming alive at 100mph and it pulled like a mother. Grrrrr.

Its not only that, anytime somebody gets into a car he puts others at risk. I think if the people on here want to criticize driving they should come to the east side and tell the N bombs how to drive. Maybe hold a rally in the ghetto about bad driving

Once again I'll say this.. I have no problem with anyone going along the freeway at 200mph at 2am if they are the only person on the freeway, it's endangering all the other people that go about their daily business that I have a problem with. But exceeding the speed limit if only by 1mph, while it may be safe, is illegal and you can't really have any complaints about being pulled over for it. Just like no front plate, just like a loud exhaust, and just like excessive tint. However I very much doubt that almost doubling the speed limit through a yellow light at lunch time on bluemound was particularly safe.

As far as laak knowing what he was doing. Everybody thinks they know what they are doing, I'm sure 30 seconds before Nick crashed his car he knew what he was doing, I'm sure right before Gerald and Kevin put their cars on their roofs they knew what they were doing.

Well Ill tell you what. The town "if you could really call it that" where i live now has 3 lights. Tons of twisties here, more so than the dragon area and is much more scenic.

It wasn't safe.

Gerald readily admits he was driving like a jackass...Kevin says his rear end locked up...Nick was in the middle of a snow storm doing 10mph around a corner.

My point is that it happened and is over with and nothing happened luckily. I don't do crazy driving often but that is what happened yesterday.

My perfect driving record reflects that I don't do that **** often and don't plan to.

The road conditions were far more dangerous with Nick and Kevins crash, however good examples of uncontrolable incidents, they are still irrelevent to the current situation.

Gerald on the other hand is a good example of how things can quickly go wrong if you think you know what your doing. All and all it all depends on the driver and knowing the limits of the car.

But hey, there is always going to be one out of a group.
