Not sure if anyone watches top gear, but they are keeping a leaderboard of how quickly F1 & ex-F1 drivers can take their little daewoo around the track. The stig of course is the champion with a time of 1:44.3, then there is Nigel Mansell, Damon Hill, a couple others and Mark Webber who set the only wet time of 1:47.xx.
Well Lewis Hamilton went on it and set a time, the track for him was both wet and oily (supposedly that day a GTO had been around the track spewing oil). Lewis set a time of 1:44.7. Just 0.4 seconds slower than the Stig's dry time. That's incredible.

I may try and get a ride to BWs 2maro with a friend of mine with a 07 STI- the one who took it too Cobb tuning.
All depends if he can make it, if my leg allows it, and if i can walk long distances on these pain killers with my leg!
AND......WaxThis your car would be agreat replacement for mine, but unfortunately i would need to sell mine first. Unless you would do a trade of mine plus cash and you could sell my car (easier to sell a non-aftermarket turbo car, people assume its less abused or seen less track time). I think uits safe to assume you wouldnt want to do that- id have to sell it myself which could take a while private party.
OR i may try and find a dealer with EITHER: 06 EVO 9 SE, 06 EVO 9 MR.....possibly might look at a STI....thinking a 04-07....i dont know though....what are your guys opinions, want to weight in?
Or.........i really love a lot of the RWD cars but i dont think they are practical given that i live in the two states that have both the worst weather and roads for RWD!
I may be able to 'tought it out' ....put on blizzaks....or get tire chains...but i dont know.
HAVE ANY OF YOu had any experience with a 250-350 hp RWD car in wisconsin during the winter? Or Colorado for that matter? I really dont think it would w0rk, but im still keeping the option open! I like the look, platform, engine, and sleeper look of the Charger SRT8 (RWD)
Are there any RWD cars that have very sophisticated or intricate traction control systems that could keep me on the road and in a straight-ish line during the cold months?
Or a RWD car that has VERY good weight distribution in the rear?
