Yeah, I also bought a Black IX MR, a white 2004 JDM intergra Type-R and a red GTR. Tonight I think I'm gonna work on my E92 M3. I'm thinking white.
I'm gonna add my disclaimer now.. Obviously GT5 is just a game and cannot be relied upon to understand what real cars will perform like. But I wanted to do some testing anyway since this is probably as close as I'll get to being allowed to try out these cars on a track.
The Evo IX is as close to driving my Evo as I've experienced in a video game the car responds just like it does in real life, through high speed turns, low speed turns the car behaves like the real thing. On the track I was testing on I got a 1:56 lap time and hit 140ph on the back straight.
I'm gonna make a HUGE assumption that the Evo X and GT-R also behave exactly like in real life, and pretend that what I've done constitutes valid testing.
Evo X - This car feels pretty similar to the IX, loads of grip, seemingly similar power and a little better balanced. I think Jeske is gonna like it if he drives one. The car is a little more eager to let the back end come around than the IX. It has calmed any fears I had about the car not being an Evo. It was actually a little faster than the IX around the track at 1:54 and it hit 143mph on the back straight.
GT-R - This car is a beast plain and simple. It does feel heavy in quick transitions and when you get into trouble, but it has an immense amount of grip and the weight seems to be very well balanced so it responds to inputs mid corner very well. It also has stupid power. I got a 1:44 with this car and I'm not sure how fast I got it up to on the straight but I'm pretty sure it was over 160mph.
One thing to note about the top speed though is that when using manual transmission on GT5 the cars mimic the transmissions of the real life cars. So with the IX I was rowing on the gears and pushing the clutch in, and on the X and GT-R I was just flicking paddles. Oh yeah if this is what the SST transmission is going to be like, I'm in love already. It shifts *fast*.
I know it's just a game, so no-one needs to remind me that this little review is completely unreliable and I'm full of it. But at least I get to feel like hot **** for a little while testing new cars for you guys.

Anyone who hasn't been on Hwy100 in a while might be happy to know that Russ Darrow Mitsubishi (right next to Renner) now has a Mitsu sign and cars out...which means parts too. I haven't gone yet but at least it's closer to pick up oil filters and what not.
Now it's like 100 yards closer to me
