Actually .40 and .45ACP are within $1 for a box of 100 here. Now if you go .357SIG your going to pay a pretty penny. Don't get a DE, they are complete junk. If memory serves they are made by Inter Arms, and they have never come out with anything good.

I wish 5.56 ammo would go down in cost!

5.56 is more expensive than .223, and yes they are different.
Go on gunbroker.com and see if there are any deals right now. Let's see a pic of the AR or mini-14, those are the 2 most common .223 rifles. Oh and FYI stay away from Wolf .223 ammo, my AR hates it, I had a brass get lodged in the chamber with a continued feed... it wasnt pretty.

Just forgot. Google snipersparadise, and head to the forum for some good info.

BTW if you can get .40 for $1/box than i will take $50 worth please. I have never seen .40 cal ammo for under $20/100. I do have about 1000 shells still waiting for reloading, that will be very cost effective *cough* *cough* BILL....

Wolf stuff in AR's is horrible, mainly because of the laquer coating tends to build up and cause AR's to jam.
You can use Wolf stuff in AK's without a problem, because an AK will fire fine if it was packed full of sand.
I know what differences there are between .223 and 5.56, I like the higher velocities and kick better.
I have an Armalite M15A4.
