BTW this is a new customer of Mine

http://www.bohicaarms.com/

he make CQ 50 cals too.

All you AR guys notice the Clip on .50 cal upper for your AR...... how cool is that?

How accurate is it?
With HSM 50 loaded with the Hornady 750 grain Amax we were under 1 MOA at 1000 yards. (No wind, Machine rest, Ideal conditions – no BS.)

With M-33 Military Ball we were getting rough groups of about 2' at 750 yards, in a 10KT crosswind, prone, shooting at 5 gallon pails of water.

Will the AR-15 Receiver stand up to the recoil?
Yes, Not a problem. I have test fired over 650 shots thru one of our prototypes and found hole elongation of under .002. The lower receiver holes take very little of the recoil as most of it is transmitted straight back thru the tight fit at the rear of the receiver into the stock.

How bad is the recoil?
I tell people it's about like shooting a 3 ½" 12 gage or a 30-06 Springfield. Obviously there are things you can do to lessen the recoil (such as installing one of our optional recoil pads). Recoil is a perceived thing, if you weigh 120 lbs you will get pushed around more than if you weigh 270 (like me). The thing that makes the most difference is that you pull the rifle up tight into your shoulder and not be afraid of it. If you "limp wrist it" or not pull it up tight it will give you a whack or the scope could bite you (seen it happen)

Interesting. Hopefully he will chamber it in .408 CheyTac. Then I will put in my order that day. A shortened up .505 Gibbs is much better than the .416 Barrett thats been necked down from a BMG round.

Well my best guess is to buy a lower AR reciver, get the upper conversion and any of the add-ons you want. My best guess is from the $1500-$2000 range fully equipped. If you want an excellent lower goto www.spikestactical.com

You know i just noticed that in the begining of the movie "Shooter" he isn't using the CheyTac, which i thought he was (same color as the rifle he is using). Looks like he is using a M40... or at least one of th R700 based rifles. Still a bad *** scene though
