Everyone is going to have their own opinion. I personally run the Tilton hybrid which has treated me good for 20k but its on its way out. Seems like people run the Exedy around here.

I think fcheng and midnighteco are still on the tilton while Nez, newimport, and a few others run the exedy. The exedy is a lot more streetable while the tilton IMO will have a better clamp load and doesnt fade with heat. The exedy still has a pull type which uses the stock TB clip but they do offer a push type which will have less chance of breakage just like the tilton.

During rebuilding the tilton will require it to be rebuilt more often say between 15k-25k while the exedy will last probably double that. Im not sure what a rebuild costs or what is involved with an Exedy but with the tilton all you need is to replace the disks which run around $200 for both of them I think mine came to $232 with shipping from TTP.

Hope some of this helps.

Clutch discs replacement for the EXEDY are $500+

About half of that for the Tilton.

The engagement of the EXEDY is much easier.

I just noticed your PM, so I'll go respond to that too.
As far as the clutch choice... if you daily-drive the car, you will hate the Tilton, especially when you think about how much you paid for it.
For the power you're looking at, you can do a regular single disc clutch with a strong pressure plate (heavier pedal) or go to the Exedy twin to still hold plenty of power and keep the pedal weight about the same. I personally switched to a stock-like ACT with a heavy pressure plate.

I guess what I'm looking for is daily driveablity. Also longevity. That can handle some mods. I reflashed at ams. Currently I believe i have 317 hp, torques like 315.

I have 27k miles on my ACT (same as Nick) and it still holds well. I also have about 15-20 launches on it.

Im almost thinking of saving the other $1100 from the EXEDY in the event if I buy an ACT, it DOES go out...i can buy 2 more.....Are the ACT's full faced organic discs? Or puck-style cerametallic?

Nick's got the full face. I used to use the RPS 6 puck with the sprung hub. Very streetable, holds great and feels like stock but ten times heavier pedal feel. I use to abuse the hell out of that clutch, launch control from a dead stop, launching in second gear while rolling around 20 miles. It's great and i love that RPS. And should be good up to 500lbs torque

Watch the amount of gas you are actually pumping...

+1 on Nick doing a good clutch install.

Supposedly the stacked exhaust isn't even functional. Either way its a sexy car. Not worth $50+ but still sexy.
