I'm selling mine because it's an expensive SOB to keep around considering I never drive it anymore.

If I miss it then in the spring I'll maybe look at getting another sports car but right now it probably won't be replaced.

So I ended up going with Blizzaks this time around. Went with the LM-25's instead of the WS series since most of my driving will be on just wet/slushy roads this winter.

UPS just dropped them off and man, those are some treads

I know plasmas sometimes have deeper blacks, but not sure about this model. I know its only 720p but ive heard you hardly notice a difference until you get to super big tv's.

If you can afford it I would bump up to the XBR series...also the 120Hz. 1080p is clearly better on TV's over 40". If you size your TV correctly to the distance you sit from it you will definitely enjoy 1080p.

The other question is if you have anything that will utilize 1080p so that will determine if it's worth it to you. Bluray and HDDVD and some games will truly use that but TV and downloaded media will have a couple years before it gets there.

Also, see if you can get a store to move a normal bravia next to a XBR and hook up a PS3 to it

My thoughts to Habibs family as well. I met him and had a few conversations on the UWM campus. He was a real nice guy the few times I had the pleasure of talking.

Also just got done watching the news and they had a shot of them taking his car away off the back of a flatbed with the front wheels off and the backs rolling

I will be getting an HD package from TW (which im sure is 1080i tops...) but will be getting a media center extender to stream 1080p downloaded content from my file server. Definately love the XBR, but not loving the price for 120hz + XBR. I notice a BIT of a difference, but not enough for it to make/break the deal. I just dont think its worth another $1000. If it was a hundred or so, then probably. I still have some hunting to do, maybe i can snag a deal.

If you are looking or all out snow and ice I say go with the WS-60. If you are looking for an decent dry/wet winter tire that will be very good in the snow go with the LM25's.

As I said to Laak when he was looking. If you want a good snow tire at a bit of a discount to the blizzaks go with the Dunlop Graspics.

If you can hold off, depending on what happens with my car I may have a set of WS-50's on black Evo 8 rims coming up for sale soon.

Yeah, those Graspics had good reviews but some of them gave them the same dry/wet handling as the WS's so they ended up being a bit softer than the LM's. Obviously I don't drive like a tard when winter tires but sometimes you hope the grip is there

I run my alternate tires usually mid/late october-april so I needed something that was good in snow (better than all seasons) but still had dry/wet performance which it seems the LM's are made for.

Yeah I would agree. I think the graspics probably have the dry/wet grip and handling of the WS's, and the snow grip of the LMs. It's the 'worst' of both worlds, but the price is right.
