Fair logic i guess, but I agree with the point of leavin the stuff there. WHo knows what these men are capable of doing. They prolly know your proud of your evo.. and they could who knows.. key it??
As far as being nice, hmm if you call daily and be polite.. is like WTF!! lol... If you or someone was callin my *** everyday to complain.. being polite or not.. i'd get irritated and take it as they arent happy EVERYDAY instead of hearing it once in every few weeks.
Go with keepin on there *** and find out more details on when they think the job will be completed. Give them a reasonable deadline and say if its not done by this such and such a date, you wont finish giving them there payment! Trust me.. if they know that they may not get the money they will try hard to get the deadline.

Well I got off the phone with the contractor and he said that the job will be finished by wednesday this week. In order to meet that deadline they will have to work around the clock in order to finish. Speed and quality means everything in a flat rate job.
Cars are designed to be outside and so is siding.
4rcd6- what are they capable of? Who knows, but if something did happen to the car or any other part of my property while they were there. Here is what I would do.
1. Clean up all their isht in my yard that they leave there every night, toss into street.
2. Tell them to get the f off of my property.
3. Call contractor "Your fired" in the Donald Trump tone.
4. Clean my garage of all of their garbage= into street.
5. Car=back in garage=happy me.
6. Finish the siding myself, even though I don't know the first thing about it.
7. When I finish, have a beer and relax knowing I just saved my self 7k.
Call me an *** if you want, I know I am and Fireball can vouch for that. I expect perfection or damn near. I can't stand lazy people, and excuses all the time. This should have been done in a timily manner not showing up to a job site at 11:30. Ten taking an hour lunch an hour after they show up (I caught them using my grill and my charcoal, went home from work one day and nearly lost it). I work damn hard for my money and Im sure you all do too.
If they want to sit a slack all day so be it, they wont be in business very long if they give my name as a reference. I'm not the best business person but my guess is that a negitive comment trumps a positive.

I hear ya bro.. I was just sayin if ya **** them off they may be childish and do something more idiotic. Not sayin i agree with these tactics one bit, but lately morons seem to do this as there american way these days! Nice to know that they will get it done by 2 days from now... which sounds nearly impossible to me.
Man Id go nuts on some bastards if they were using my grill without asking me first. I mean what are these guys thinking??? Whats the name of this contractor so I know NOT to deal with them on my house?

Yes you have a nice one. And I know where you live. Hehe.
4rcd6-I need a new door put in also for my patio, I have a name of another company that did work on the house before. I talked with the guy last week and asked why I didn't call for him to do the siding. My response I never knew he did that. He is very fair and does awsome work. I will get you the name of him when I get back home.

You never call, plus I work a wierd schedule. We need a bonfire house again.
When I got my passport is cost $45 but you had to wait 3-4 weeks so they can make sure your not a terrorist or a naughty person. I think they are right around $100-150 now.
