Well alright, I'm going to rejoing the workforce sometime next week.

Got my offer today for the Systems Engineer position I've been chasing for 3 weeks. I get to now work in a Data Center and still do a little bit of wireless work for customers. Very little travel and if I do have to it's within the state so that's cool.

Pay is good, little less than I was making before but with much larger bonus structure. Also raises every time I complete a certification so it should be a good place to grow.

Lot of new technology which is nice cause I'll get to learn a lot. ESX and VMotion I believe, part of the Time Warner SONET ring with 2 other ISP backups and a satellite last ditch failover

I'm excited because I'll be exposed to a lot.

I am sad though, my 4 month vacation is coming to a close

congrats!! if you have vmware questions, don't hesitate to ask...we do quite a bit of ESX, well over a 100 virtual servers as VM's on ESX hosts. VMotion is super nice, and if you havent already... read about the DRS/HA clustering features..cool stuff!

Thanks MikeMan, I definitely will.

This company is big into continuing education so they are going to pay for me getting my VCP, CCNA, and MCSE or whatever it is now called.

Well I got some bad news people. My grandmother died yesterday at a ripe old age of 91. Kinda sucks it happened during the holiday season, but at least I hope she isnt in pain anymore.
