I find it odd that they purchased a $70K car that zigs and zags only to run 10s in a straight line. Could have done that with a $200 station wagon and a $2000 small block.

FYI I gaurentee that you dont have the last produced titanium rear strut tower, such an easy piece can be produced every day

Not the last one ever, the last one produced by the company that makes it.

And i picked up an XD-M

From what little I know about guns I've heard the XD is pretty nice Red.

Nez, is that what you have or similar?

The XD-M only comes in 9mm, thats the only crappy part of it. I personally wouldn't own a 9mm, it hardly has any stopping power. I think the smallest handgun I own is in .357SIG which is a necked down .40S@W

Heres a quick rundown of them.
10mm Auto / 9X25 Dillon / 40S&W / 357SIG / 9mm

The 9mm falls on its face after 35-40ft, it basically drops like a rock. Deamon, take it back and get something else unless all your going to do is plinking.

The XD-M JUST came out in 9mm 2.5 weeks ago, before that it was just available in a .40

So currently they have a 9mm AND a .40 model. I was leaning towards .40 and shot one multiple times but with how each year .40 is being used less and less, i feel that 9 was a good choice..
One of the many things i love about the 9mm is that it has a 19+1 round capacity! meaning it can hold 20 rounds (with one in the chamber) with a SINGLE clip!

Plus it comes with the XD gear box: THREE interchangable backstraps for people with bigger, medium, and small hands-meaning tyhe back of the grip comes OFF and you can put on other sized and coutoured backstraps, also two mags, mag pouch, a hip holster, barrell cleaner and lock. Plus the top of the gun has a indicator which pops up when there is a round in the chamber..also has a match-grade barrel.

Did i mention springfield is running a special that you can get two additional mags with mag pouch for FREE, dont even have to pay shipping!
with all XDs and XD-Ms that EVEN with the two mags you get in the XD gear box, if you mail them before jan 15 with a copy of your receipt they will mail you the free mags. So when getting the handgun, you get 4 free mags right away, all of which would have been an additional cost.

And yes they do not have a .45 out for it yet.

Mike, you are like many of the gun owners i know- very set in your ways! everyones like that-
"only buy 1911 frame" "only get .45" , ......with a hollow point 9mm and some practice you would do substantially more damage to a person!

and mainly i already have a HK USP in .45 ....if you know your guns hands down nearly every gun lover and enthusiast i have spoken to raves about the USP.
That gun is a over $1000+ handgun new, bought it from a friend of mine who is a marine, he only had shot 6 mags through it. and i got it for a GREAT price as he needed the cash to fix his truck. Also got a M&P40 from him which i sold to my cousin.

Honestly i like the feel, sights, and weight distribution of the XD-M much more than the USP.
Especially given the fact that the USP is so much more costly, its amazing.
and without ever shooting either, the USP took a lot of getting used to which should be expected with a heavier gun and especially given that it is a .45. Still, the first time i picked up the XD-m i felt like i had been shooting it for a month or two!

The website for it is : springfieldarmory.com or more specifically www.the-m-factor.com

after getting it i even read reviews all over the internet and in gun magazines and publications where they mainly compare it to a glock and a few other comparable handguns. Of the 12 i read, 11 rated the XD-M better than the glock or other it was compared to (of the 12 reviews, 7 compared it to a glock)

IDK, I rather shoot 1 round instead of multiple rounds for protection purposes. Like I said if your manly going to do plinking the 9mm is a fine choice, its just under powered in my books. All of my handguns and rifles serve a purpose and I have chosen them as such. I guess I dont follow the internet to well with firearms since everyone has their own opinion like myself, and could care less what gun reviews or magazines are out there. Ive been on numerous shooting teams and clubs over the years and not a lot of people prefer the 9mm from what Ive seen. Now things have changed and its been 2 years since the last club I shot for so who knows...

I just stated what I know for the time being. Im glad you gave me the rundown of it, Im sure your going to like it.

yea definately mike, i totally understand what your stance is-for home protection nothing beats a .45.

Youll have to shoot it sometime!

^ Nothing beats a 12 gauge pump. The signature sound of rounding a shell would make most people run for cover. The various types of ammunition can also deliver the message you would like to send.

I'd rather not have to deliver that message. I'd rather intimidate the threat, and not have to deal with cleaning up the mess.

If my Oscar fish doesn't scare whomever it is that’s breaking into my house, maybe the AK will.

Too bad the WASR-10 are more inaccurate than a 1860s musket.
