I want something fun for auto-x or shawno type events mostly, and something smooth esp with the stop and go traffic, something quieter with a tiny bit of bite. and im not being like every other FIB down here and getting 335i :P And with the deals im seeing...its nuts. It's always hard to justify, because buying a new car is 99% never the right financial choice.

So I came on here to see what kind of turbo you had since there was no way that was stock. No wonder that car spooled so slow, an FP Red is not exactly the best autox turbo. I will have to drive an Evo X sometime with the stock turbo on it, I think that was killing the experience!

Theres really no need to carry in WI, IMO. Hunting is far over-rated in this state, you could basically stick a deer just about anywhere. Gun season is for sissys.

The only 2 places I carried was in the mountains of CO because of bear, and cats. And in FL everyday I went to work because of the part of town I worked in.

Hey Colin,

I was surprised you didn't complain about the lag right away, coming from an Sti and other evos. I thought maybe it was just me. You're right, I learned Saturday that the stock turbo would be a lot better for autox. Pete and Tom here seem to do really well with their MRs. I enjoy the extra top end hp too much though. My boost is also turned down to ~23psi until I upgrade the fuel, so the red never hits efficiency (not that it would help the lag situation).

Anyway, thanks again for riding with me and all the advice. It definitely helped having a pro onboard. Hopefully I'll get to catch up with you sometime to get a ride in your Sti.
