Red:

The RE11's are supposed to be top dog if you can afford them. This tire is the latest and greatest in the bridgestone RE seres, the Replaced the RE-01R.

The Kunho Ecsta XS and Dunlop Direzza Z1 Starspecs are a close 2nd and much more affordable. The Kumho has a little more overall dry grip than the Dunlop, but the dunlop has a little better responsiveness and a lot more wet grip. I'd say it's a toss up between those two tires. FWIW I am on the Dunlops, and I keep getting beat by a guy on the Kumhos.

I wouldn't waste my time with the RE070 if you are looking at the above tires. I think the Kumho and Dunlop are both better than this tire in everyway and cheaper too.

Moss.... do you have a course layout or video of how the autox will run? I would really like to run that track but I'm looking for more zigs and zags.

Same course layout for the highspeed autocross. Midwest Council's Highspeed autocross is essentially a time trial.

If you put any weight in Tirerack's tests it looks like the Kumhos didn't do as well, especially in the wet. Any thoughts on the ADVAN Neova AD08?

Wow, being rude must be on the job requirement sheet for most Mitsu parts people. Called the dealer up here by me and I'm in the middle of reading him my VIN number and I hear his cell phone ring. I then hear 'hello' and all of a sudden I'm on hold listening to the dealer promotions. 45 seconds later he's back like nothing had happened. Luckily I was in a good mood so I didn't give him ****.

Brings back memories of Renner and the C Flap that used to work in parts there.

yea, i can help you out-ill PM you a guy number. I may get a few cars done, so maybe he can do like a further discount on a 3 or 4 car package deal!

NEED ADVISE
I am looking at a intake/upper intercooler pipe combo - which companies do you guys run or what do you recommend?

I still am running the stock airbox and was just going to get a new filter, but now am contemplating either a intake or most-likely a intake/UICP combo-as they come together sometimes. THE REASON i did not get an intake, is i remember dyno charts way back when showing that they can have no power gain on the evo-which is BOTH why i am asking for suggestions, and why i waited so long to get one. SO please, i am open to any suggestions, even if its keep the stock airbox, OR thinking possibly of getting a KN cone filter if they sell them-POST UP what your running for an air intake-or what you did in the past if you had an evo 8/9 and now have a X.

Thanks in advance, easy question!

Ps-i gotta comment on the tire suggestions tomorrow
