Man that is a huge project you are taking on..... is there a personal reason for the platform and year?
I don't think I could ever do something like that. I'd rather start with something newer and rust free. We have a guy up here that picked up a 2010 SS .... pulled the motor and swapped in a stroker at 500 miles!
Maybe if I was in love with a particular classic car I could do it ... but I doubt it.

Got the car back last night with the new transfer case in and drives great, except for one thing. When in 5th or 6th gear and letting off the gas while still in gear there's a constant clunking noise. Guess it's back to the dealer for more warranty.

Yikes, that's not good. That's what mine was doing right up to the point where it exploded. I'd take it back TODAY!

In my mind it really isnt a huge project. If the interior is already stripped out your half way done.

God this site is crap today, couldnt get in all day.
Ya I started drinking beast Ice earlier this year. i used to only drink Ice House when I drank beer, then I had one of these and liked it. packs a good punch for beer as i usually only drink Jack.
Ya its more of a project to say i did it. only soft spot in the car is that area in the driver pan. once i get it put in, the sand blaster is coming out and atleast then it will all be one color and i can start cutting the back out. its going to run a 4 link set up. ford 9" rear, 4.56 gears, and
15X18.5X32 inch tires. with a big block, lenco 5speed, supercharger, 12 point cage and tubular K-member, she should flat out bolt.
the motor in my S10 was originally destined for this car.
again its mainly somthing to keep me busy this winter and letting me try things I have never done before. I will keep the pics coming as I make progress.
