I wiped the area clean and than drove it around and checked it again (I crawled under it in the garage). I can't tell 100% where the leak is coming from. It looks like it's leaking from all over the place. It's not at a full on drip yet, but it definitely got "wet" all around after the short drive. I also noticed a new sound when accelerating now and I'm not sure if that's connected to the leaky diff. It sounds like when we we're kids and you pinned a playing card to the back spokes of your bike and began to pedal fast. you know that "card clicking" sound? It's only when I accelerate too. If you have any free time It'd be awesome to get these problems dealt with cause I may have to drive the evo to wherever the U.S. Army is gonna make go before I deploy again so it could be on either coast (i.e. long *** drive). Thanks again for any info. *And for anyone who has kids: Toy Story 3 is kinda dark and evil. It's rated G, but should be like PG-13. Haha.

If the case is wet, it would either be the yoke seal, or something forward from there. Maybe a t-case output seal.

Nashville is an easy 8-9 hour drive. Its really not bad. I can do about 20 hours or about 1100-1200 miles at a crack. Ive done it many times

Seats aren't bad. Just gas money and how hard it is to find a Shell gas station on the road.

It all depends on the passenger!

I wish I had bypassed the navi to allow movies before we took that trip so you would have had something to keep you occupied instead of wrapping my phone charger cord around the mirror!
