Decided to put my Evo up for sale today and see what happens. Could work out a good deal if someone local wants it. Anyone looking for a project X to keep themselves busy for a while??

I'm pretty sure Nick wants it. I'll persuade him tomorrow night when we're taking your engine out.

I can accept the Saturn as a down payment/trade in . There's actually been some interest by PM, but not sure how serious yet.

Does that mean we don't have to pull the engine and that heavy a$$ tranny...

If I were the buyer, we'd still be pulling the motor and tranny.

So in our hunt for her fuel efficient crossover/5 door <$30k, Katie and I test drove a Kia Sportage SX turbo yesterday. Not the perfect car for us, but that thing seriously blew the other cars out of the water in terms of HP. 0-60 in 6.1 and 14.7 1/4 mile for an AWD automatic crossover . Oh, did I mention the FWD version gets 22 / 27 MPG?

The new Sportage is sweet.

I also love the new Jeep Cherokee & Durango, kinda outside your budget of 30K though, or fuel efficient.

On another topic, any opinions on the Evo X leather/sunroof package? I like how the leather charms up the atmosphere a bit...

IDK lithe. Chrysler has a ton of problems. Thier engines suck, along with the newer trannys. I would seriously rather go Ford than Chrysler nowadays.

^ We ended up with a 2011 Golf TDI with the 6SP DSG for her. Not the fastest car, but it's fun to drive, has decent cargo space and people are getting 50MPG hwy. Gotta love pulling up to the diesel pump too .

The reviews I've read had positive things to say about the new "Pentastar" V6. Not so nice things about the old 5-speed auto transmission though. The Hemi would be a strong motor I assume.

Also, the platform is the next gen Mercedes M class, which has also gotten good reviews. Who knows about reliability I guess...

I've also admired how Ford has turned it around, but I come from a Chevy family so it's out of the question for me The Boss is awesome though, I have to say!

Congrats on the TDI Ryan!

What's going to replace your Evo?
