If you went to the place on 76th and Lincoln, don't get that gas. I would go out to Johnny's on Janesville in Muskego, cheaper and a lot better gas, plus I think they use 112.

You didnt notice a difference? Did you turn the boost up at all?

It was kinda an impulse buy so I didnt really plan it out ahead of time, they had a group buy going and it was getting near the end so I said what the hell and bought it. In hindsight maybe not the best purchase but once its all done Im sure Ill be happy with it.

well, if u didnt do anything to make use of the gases decreased flash and knock threshold, the gas is just burning slower and ur loosing power (not noticeable really..but you ARE loosing power because it burns much slower). need to turn up that boost and enjoy!!

Good morning guys, josh the unit looks great, i am not busy so gimmie a call whenever. Honni, your not going to see gains unless you can at least control boost. I was boosting 26 psi with no knock last time i used race gas...what a blast!

Mike im not too sure if you wanna tune when you can't get traction!

112 would most likely be leaded though, at least I've never seen unleaded 112.

The highest unleaded is 104 by VP fuels. There is a a lot of different fuels out there that are leaded from 100, 101, 104, 108, 110, 112, 116 all by different companies. Some are good and some are not so good. The best "race" fuel I know of around the metro Milw area is at Johnny's. Last time I bought fuel there it was 4.85/gal. It's most likely higher now since we are post-Katrina. The "cracker" companies are still not at full production and that is why the gas/plastic/etc companies are still passing the added cost to the consumer. Now if oil companies ever try making a "synthetic" type fuel it will save oil production costs 10 fold.

I work in the plastics industry and always here about resin loss. Just to give you an example. Non-HDPVC is about .92/lb. It takes about 3lb of light sweet crude to refine down into this material. Now if you are talking about PE or HDPE it costs about 1.09/lb. Why? Because PE or anything of the like is synthetic made hence the cost increase.

Now getting back onto fuels. Lead is used as a type of buffer or octane "rasier" to slow the burn of the fuel. This isn't cheap to do because the fuel has to be "cracked" or refined a different way. Not much "race" fuel can be produced form crude oil pound for pound.

Sorry for the over in-depth explanation.

Unless you're upgrading you "header" because you are getting a bigger turbo its not worth it.

Headers= Honda

I've heard good things about the forge MBC, the Hallman ones seem to be very nice as well
