The W8 is fun. Not really comparable to the evo, but its fast.I have beaten a few mustangs and base WRx's with it. Its a really good highway trip car, just cruises real nice. Sounds great too, really has a nice v8 bark to it. Oh and its a 6 speed manual, makes it very fun to drive

I knew it wouldn't disappoint Glad you like it.

I might have to check out that catalog Fireball. I might want to do a dual pod on the steering wheel column this summer...maybe.

Which gauge should I get...oil pressure? I only have boost now.

laakness-

I've been having a problem setting up the tunerstein logger found on this page:

http://students.db.erau.edu/~szabafab/stein/

I've been over the directions and did everything it says. Is there anyway in your vast computer knowledge to make this work. You can use the dsmloggers connector with it, it seems all you need is a null 9 pin serial cable. I can't get the software to work.

You know, I've tried like 30 times using the dll's that they say to use on my XP machine and it just doesn't work. I keep getting memory faults and other random crap.

I was thinking of installing a virtual machine of windows 2000 or 98 and giving it a try.

Well, if you can get it for $60 US or less I'll take one as long as it's not too much trouble.

I was in the UK over XMAS. They are still using the same ralliart catalog that they had last time I was there (june 2004). All the new stuff was 'options' and remote controlled cars.

Mike JUST bought one. (2 pod steering wheel) It's only $43.99.

If you are doing just 1 more gauge, EGT all the way. My 2nd choice is oil pressure.

This is, of course, not including a wideband AFR gauge.

I like most of the Toshibas. Some of the models might as well be a HP or Compaq.

I like the Sony's but I'd never buy one or recommend one to anyone. Like everything else Sony, you pay a lot more for less. (Damn I love their TVs.)

Here is the Stewart Warner catalog online and in PDF

http://www.sw-performance.com/downlo...spx?filetype=5

The first link on their page is busted and doesn't have a file for the link

The second link is a pretty decent catalog.

Yea, that's the first 14 pages of the 143 page catalog on my desk.

I'd really wish they'd tell you how the connectors in the back work. My biggest gripe is all the damn wiring. I really like the new Autometer gauges because you can simply daisy chain them. No extra wiring needed!

Edit: NM, I see the diagram now. Didn't wait long enough

It all depends on what you are doing with the car. If you are using a larger turbo and are tuning on your own, your first gauge (besides boost) should be a wideband. These are much more accurate than a EGT and are easier to read at a glance since you are not looking at a needle. If you cant afford the wideband i would go with a EGT then. After that go with oil pressure.

1)Wideband 2)EGT 3)Oil Pressue
