bill, i have MB Quart components and coaxials, Memphis 5 channel amp, and one JL 10 inch sub. great sound out of the little ones, just enough bass out of the sub. can't hear anything outside the car, but you can rock out inside to your hearts content

Check eBay for the stereo stuff. I bought my original stuff (all Diamond Audio speakers) from Stay Tuned, but after the break-in, I replaced the stuff from eBay. I would say, find the brand you want and just buy the stuff a lot cheaper from eBay.
If you're looking for install help, let me know. The Evo isn't too bad to install in.

If I put in a 4 channel 100 watt per Amp, and replace speakers, do i have to re-wire the speakers too?

I am looking for obviously better sound, a bit more power w/o it breaking up on me. A little more bass would be nice. Can this be done w/o a sub. can I make the rear opening larger to handle a slightly larger speaker?

+1 on ebay, i got my old subwoofers brand new for half the price of what ProjectTwo wanted.

OT: Anyone on here the two GG Evos who were rollin down Mequon road in Germantown last night? One was a 9 GSR, other was a 8 MR wingless. I kind of hope not cuz who ever it may be was rolling with a cobalt SS, hahahaha.

Also on a sad note, anyone know who was the owner of the rally red evo that was wrapped around a telephone pole on portwashington road and Hampton ave on July 3rd? I got calls from five people making sure it wasnt me, hope the people involved were all okay!

I rewired my speakers beacuse I wanted a heavier wire for clarity and potential upgrade plans and also because I put components in the front and didn't want to deal with the stock wiring.
You can get decent bass from the regular speakers. I disconnect my sub for autocross and switch the low frequency back to the main speakers. I have been quite surprised by the bass I can get on the 6" round speakers.
I don't think there is much room for larger speakers in the stock locations. You *might* be able to fit 6x9's in the rear locations.
