Right now I'm just trying to look at differences in maps. Anyone have any they can email me? Stock vs tuned, etc.

Yes the Xede uses the MAF (load) and RPM range on the maps. It tunes within boundries that you specify which is why you need the base maps. Again, I'm a little fuzzy on the details having not really read up on it for a long time.
There is also some conditional parameters supported in the Xede now also. So in such and such a case you can tell it to shut down and run ultra conservative. I'm even more cloudy on these details since this came out after I sold mine.

well i'm glad to hear i'm not way off base with this theory. when he was hooked up yesterday, he was telling me how he could see the SMART adjusting things. nothing drastic to where he would be concerned, but it was working. so assuming that it needs all those components to work properly, then the wideband not reading would give it some trouble. who knows to what extent, but i think it would be safe to say that there is something. i guess the only way to tell for sure.....back to the track and this time i'm running some race gas too biatches

I'll be at the track Friday night most likely just to watch. My brother is coming down and wants to watch some of the drags. I think you can run on Friday btw.

Mike and i tried to get the UR kits about a year ago but they stop selling them just about 2 years ago

I can't wait to get the rest of my set-up done. It's on the floor of my car right now staring at me. I wish I had more time before this coming weekend so I can go to the dyno day on Saturday and get the car strapped down again.
But yes the MAF trans I have should work just fine. I read through the directions and it's actually very simple to hook up and tune the car. It seems as if it's it's own type of AFC controller.
I'll have my finding posted up within a month or so, or whenever I get this hooked up and tuned.
