I would really like to get this crew out on track, as it is the most fun you will ever have.
This is true. No offense to any heavy autocrossers here, but I just could never really get into it. For me, road courses are where it's at.

Of course, they're more expensive...

Yeah that would be fun. The only track I've been to was kilkare and It was once with my old STi. It was fun, I just dont know why I haven't gone back. Probably because the X's clutch and the master cylinder sucks ***** and they'd probably break.

I am sure the X has the same restrictor in the slave as the 8s and 9s. Simply removing it will make a huge difference in how well your clutch lasts.

Never heard that anywhere, I'll look into it.

It does, but the only time I heard of people removing it was in the X's early days. I haven't seen anyone claim to have pulled theirs out in quite awhile. I don't know if it's not as effective on the X or what...

With the 8s and 9s it would cause slippage and inconsistent clutch engagement. Removing it made the clutch feel vastly improved.

I think people are too afraid of the notoriously weak clutch on the Xs to mess with it.

I'm indifferent. I like its engagement point, and it's been good to me so far. Of course, I've never launched it... rolling starts only.

Rip it out and let us know, Fractur3.

I did an event at Putnam last year, it's a fun track. Has a front straight that you can reach about 130mph before hard braking, and some not so subtle turns, I remember being all over the place in the gear range (2nd to 5th). And yeah, having a lot of evos out on a track would be fun as ****.

10/10th and Predator Motorsports have track days all the time. I am sure you can organize to go out with them some time.

If you all need help removing that clutch slave restrictor....let me or Brad know.

Actually you get more on track krone per dollar on a road course than you do at an autocross. It just seems like mote because it's one lump sum.

Alright guys, Im looking to leave Friday night for the Buschur shootout. If there's anyone else in the area that wants to meet and cruise up let me know. We can shoot for meeting around Newport on the Levee unless somewhere further north of Cinci works. Probably trying to get on the road around 6-6:30.

Anybody local tune Xs? Buschur did mine awhile back, but I've gotten 2 "Bank 1 too lean" codes in 3 days. Nothing's changed recently besides the heat. Xs throw that code pretty regularly, but I've gotten maybe 5 in total in a little over 2 years and two of those were this week. I suspect something's up.
