oh NOOS!!! Your are dooOOMED! The only way to keep your car safe is to get yourself a trunk money. Keep it in the car 24/7 and arm it with an Automatic AK47 :P

If it's number 2 by percentage, that doesn't mean much. If there's 5 Evos in Colorado, and 1 gets stolen, suddenly there's a 20% theft rate. As a comparison, if there's 20,000 Ford Focuses (Foci?) in Colorado, and 500 get stolen, that's only 2.5%.

And regular AK-47's (civilian) are semi-auto.

well then it seems the best choice would be investing in a good alarm instead of losing ur evo. it costs more than a payment. would u rather owe 300-400 or having ur evo stolen?

yea it seems like the 400 bucks for an alarm and wheel club would be worth the piece of mind if this is a concern for you...

If you do get an alarm, may I suggest the type that communicates back to the remote if the car is being breeched? I've been using a Viper Responder alarm system with that feature since owning my Evo in 2003. It's good stuff. Other than that, just be smart about where you are parking.

Idiots are inevitable, but you can at least limit their access by not parking in the very back of the lot. Door dinks are easier to fix than an F'd up Evo, provided you even recover your stolen ride.

that's ok.... my insurace agency raised my premium 200 per year just because of the theft rate. i hate insurace people, total bs - especially when in almost 3 years of owning evo's i have only put 4000 miles between the 2 of them

and no, there were not any tickets, accidents, etc that would also have made it go up. none of the other 3 vehicles i own went up
