wondering if any of u local colorado guys have taken your evo / lancer in for the HVAC controlls sticking / breaking. mine have stuck for a while but not all the way and it finally locked up completly. i hear its under warrenty and a pretty decent size fix but im no where near stock and i dont really feel like fighting the dealer.
so if you have had it done where and how did u explain the problem without them not understanding it lol

however i do need heat since winter is here

I went in to have mine "fixed". All they did was lube up the linkages for the controls. It is much better but i can still feel some resistance. I was not hassled at all. Good luck.
