This is a good idea. The season is nearing an end and my board needs more time out there.

I wish there was a little more notice. I would have made the trip in a heart beat, but I'm on duty. Have fun and maybe I'll catch you guys at the next one!

I was up at Alpine yesterday. How much further is this place? How does it compare? Thanks.

alpine is off 43, cascade is off 90/39 about 20-30 min farther north than madison

as far as comparison alpine sucks big time and that isn't just personal bias. cascade is much nicer

Yes, definitly. Sorry for the quick trip, but I/we will be going again next weekend so shoot me a pm if you want to go, as I will probably not make a new thread for it. But you always can.

Had a blast breaking in the new gear. We did not take any pictures, but I might pick up a camera for this weekends trip! and Yes we are going again, well I plan on going again. Not sure where, but you are all invited. Mike and Company, it was great seeing you again, I really need to get a helmet before this weekend, and a face mask of some sort. Well its my day off and I am at work, feels like a Saturday. I'll post a new thread sometime today.

Thanks for the info. I know Alpine is nothing special, but it's the best one in my area without taking a several hour car ride. I'll have to see if I can arrange my weekend schedule to work out a trip to Cascade. Thanks again and rock out if I can't make this next one!

It was good seeing you too, and def a good day although my rails skills def went to the ****ter after my major wipe out earlier in the week. On the plus side however, my decent sized 180 skills are now there.

Glad you had a good time and figured out the slight intricacies of your new gear

I was checking the weather, looks like sundown is getting rain this weekend and cascade will be getting some sort of wintry mix

The weekend of the 3rd (March) might be better if the weather will chill out a bit. I saw the weather report this morning before coming to work, kind of disappointing. But, c'est la vie.

Try more like 1 hour + away. Also you can't go to alpine on the weekend, there is about 3,000 people too many there from IL.

ahhh cascade is not over an hour from madison, Portage is roughly 30miles north.

If you were referring to an hour + from alpine then sure.
