In Minnesota, there's the BMW club's Fall Performance Driving school at Brainerd International Raceway on October 11 and 12. They are very friendly and open to other makes--there are instructors with Evos. I think they are using the new infield course layout this year.

Greg, did you go? I haven't taken an EVO to Elkhart yet. I've driven it in previous cars but don't really care for big wide horsepower tracks. That and braking from 150 makes for an expensive day!

I'm still hunting an end of the season lapping day. I plan to attend the Oct Shawano HPDE but would still like to hit BHF or MAM.

Hell yea I went, 2 days with the Badger Audi Club with a little drizzle on Monday making for some interesting driving and a beautiful day yesterday with a very fast track. 150 down the front straight, 145 into turn 5 and the kink in 5th gear can be a bit intimidating and for sure not easy on brakes or gas.

Second session out on Monday I put it into the pea gravel at Canada corner forgetting to tap up the brakes before the big application and the pedal went half way to the floor. Learned some new lines when Shields Bergstrom drove my car Tuesday, great instructor and a great driver. Randy Probst was there and gave me a few new ideas after seeing me brake late from the car I had just past going into Canada, the back end got loose under hard braking and did some stuff he had not seen in a while. Mark White was also on hand doing ride alongs with the guys from Chicago.

This Sunday at ACC South Course with AMS, be there. How much track time do you get with the Fox Valley Sports Car Club? PM me if you find a day a BHF I've yet to go there this year.

^ What pads did you run at RA? I've been happy with Carbotech XP12s but need to place a track pad order this week.

The FVSCC doesn't offer very many lapping days but I know loads of folks that go to their cone crushing and HPDEs. I attend about 4 fox valley events a year.

I've been eyeing up the AMS Autobahn track days but prefer full track over half track events there. Feff is having his BHFs event this weekend and on the 17th (Wednesday) BHFs is sponsoring their own driving school with instructors. I have been leaning towards attending that. The event is on myautoevents.com.

FWIW Shawano is a good track to see how well rounded your car really is. It works the suspension and requires a good line. You should check it out.
