2nd Annual Lake of the Ozarks Meet
When: June 7th, 2008
Time: 11am we will meet, and then over to Public Beach 2 (State Park) for the cookout
Where to meet: Lake Ozark, MO at the parking lot on the left just after crossing the Bagnell Dam (same as last year)
*all things tentative as of now, and I'll keep updating as it may change
The weather is getting nice again and it's time to start planning the 2nd Annual Lake of the Ozarks Meet. We had a satisfying tunrout last August with about 10 cars including 5 Evo's and an STi as well as a couple DSM's. This year's events schedule will be similar to last year's, including some go-carting, jet-skiing, some cruising, and of course a cook-out at the beach. I've found a few new roads that the spirited driver will appreciate, as well as some great places for some photo's. I'm shooting for early June, probably the 7th (Saturday), but if you all would like to suggest another day we can change that. We had a great time last year, and all of the guy's will vouch for that, and I'm anticipating an even better turnout this year. Let me know who is interested, and I will start a list...
Here are some pics from last year (August)-

Bump. We've already got about 6 or 7 people interested from other sites. There will be a lot of people this year, I can see that already. If you haven't been down to the Lake of the Ozarks you are missing out, it's definitely a diamond in the rough for the midwest.

The gold wheels are my semi-dedicated track/autox wheels now. Ideally I'd be using the BBS wheels but these Diamond Black's are too purty to risk out on the track.

Awesome! I was about to PM you and I was hoping you guys would make it down again. I don't know, I really like the gold on blue look, but the BBS's are sick too I guess. Glad you guys will be there!

A few have asked about lodging, and to be honest there's a LOT to pick from. A good place to check out is www.keystothelake.com, if you want a nice condo-style place for around $150/night. Otherwise there's the Holiday Inn Express, Baymont Inn, and Comfort Suites. PM me if I can help at all.

Update- A friend of mine has a stunting team called 3Deep and they may be coming and doing a show for some entertainment. He is dropping off a video for me to check out what he can do and then I'll know for sure. I think that would be an added bonus because it seems like a lot of us have bikes, too.

I'm gonna try and have some Swift Spec-Rs and Whiteline front and rear endlinks (already have the rear 24mm swaybar) installed before the meet. Don't want anyone getting away.

I got brave and installed the Tephra V5 ROM on my car (see ECUFlash forum for details). I also have a 93 map on there (and the BR Turbo-back w/ Bullit I had before) now that I've found local gas stations that sell it. The only difference really in the tune (TTP provided both my 91 and my 93 email flash) is the timing is slightly more aggressive. I could/should do some self-tuning this summer. But I really want to tweak the suspension slightly. Car is 8/10ths where I want it to be in the handling department. I'm not looking to go to coilovers until the stock shocks are dead.
