I was thinking of driving my car down to the states for some mods and tuning later on in the year and was wonder if 91 octane was available at most gas stations or if it is mainly 93 octane in the mid-west US? I'd like to keep strictly 91 octane in my tank for the tune since that's all I can get in my area of Canada. The states I'd be driving through are MI, OH, IL, IN, WI, and MN. Can you get 91 readily in these states or is it strictly 93? Thanks.

 

where the hell in Canada are you coming from that you'd be going through ALL of those states? Canada->Michigan->Wisconsin->AMS(Illinois). Or Canada->Michigan->Indiana->Illinois

 

Hahaha. I wondered if anyone would ask that. Entering U.S. via Sault Michigan, want to hit Shepherd's in OH and AMS in IL. Back into Canada via Thunder Bay.

 

91 is easily available in those states, I've made a similar route myself a few times. In fact, as you head west, you have to start hunting a bit for anything better than 91.

 

You dont really see too much 91 around here in indiana, you can find some, but typically its 93.
