AP Tune near St. Louis/Chicago?

Hey,
I am going to tune my X in the next month or so and was looking for your opinion, guys. Need AP tuner near St. Louis or Chicago. On Cobb website I found two shops: Genesis Racing & Development and P & L Motorsports. Do you have any feedback on them or may be there are some other places I can go to?

Thanks in advance!

Pick-up the Race software (free) for it and I will be happy to tune it for you.

Hi George,

Chris here is a great tuner to go with. I would also say Genesis or Jorge would be a great choice as well. Jorge and I work together often so I know him personally.

Thanks,

If we had the race software, how much would a custom tune cost total?

I would do it for $450, which is the current price, minus the license cost for ECUTeK.

Yes, that includes dyno time. $450 will be total cost for any service directly related to me tuning your car, such as: car hookup, wideband, boost hookup, tuning it, and taking it off the dyno. It is not an hourly charge, just a flat rate. It is not taxed because it is considered labor.

Sorry to keep asking questions, but does it matter what mods we have? How long does it typically take on the dyno and how many pulls does it take on average (for an Evo X first tune)?

I plan on doing this in the next couple of months once i get the money!

It does not matter what you have for mods. I am pretty quick with the EVO X's now. 2 hours would be an absolute worst case scenario. Usually about 6 pulls with get the job done for just about any car.

Just let us know when you are ready

Yeah you can't really go wrong coming to Chicagoland. As Robb mentioned, Genesis Racing Devlopment in Villa Park,IL, Jorge at P&L Motorsports in Franklin Park, IL and ofcourse Chris at AMS are all excellent choices
