Question Recommend a Chicagoland Tuner? Road or Dyno?

My ETS 58 trim turbo kit will be here next week, and I'm on the search for a good local tuner. I have an Autronics standalone. Normally, I'd go to DevoTuning, but they have closed :-/.

Anyone who's had a good experience with a local tuner post up.

Also, mention if you were road or dyno tuned. I still can't decide which to go with.

Yea definitely bro. They quoted me @ $900.00 for a dyno tune. I'm looking to see what my other options are for now.

Thanks for the reply.

I believe a member on here by the name of inco9nito99 would know, he may even tune but I'm not sure. His info says hes in Roselle. I'd shoot him a pm and see where it'll take ya.

Yea i believe that may be inco9nito99. I may be wrong cuz I've just been piecing it together over the years through posts. But I have heard that Kunal does real good work.

Like I told you, you are better off getting tuned on the stock ECU for your power goals and selling the Autronic Standalone.

I don't claim to be anything other than ignorant when it comes to Autotronic, but my general impression of that was that it was more for dedicated race cars with the budget to accompany it. Is it true that it's got no knock detection/correction features? If so, +1 on the standalone front. You're fortunate enough to be in an area with a lot of great stock ecu tuners, I'd take advantage of that. Plus you wont have to change the configuration to pass emissions down the road(if you live in a county that requires testing).

If you want it done right and unlimited tech support to go with it you can find our phone number in my signature. Just remember, the tune is what ties all of the money/parts/time together and makes them an acceptable and workable package. Since there is no 'real' product alot of people don't understand the pricing, but then again, its not for everyone.

I can tune the Autronic, the stock ECU or anything else you can dream up. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions.

no, a street tune is $295 at Strictly Modified. They only do street tunes. If you want to put your car on a dyno just to see the power, its an additional $175.
