Lake Superior ProRally, final round of the ProRally Championship
Calling all Mitsu owners: The Lake Superior ProRally is coming up, October 18-19. Its round 9 of the SCCA ProRally Championship.
Team Mitsubishi Motor Sports America will have both of its 400+hp Open Class Evo VIII rally cars competing, driven by 2003 driver's champion David Higgins and 2nd overall Lauchlin O'Sullivan.
The event is one of the oldest and toughest in North America as the weather can vary drastically. The rally is based out of Houghton, Michigan which is way up in the UP.
Hope to see some of you guys there.

I put out a feeler awhile back for either a meet at and/or a caravan to LSPR. It never got any replies.
What are your plans for the event?
We're coming from North Central Indiana. We normally go through Chicago and up through WI on thursday night. The run up the two lanes from Green Bay on up is usually entertaining. This year we are leaving Wednesday night and going up to the top of the lower peninsula of MI and staying at a friends place. Then on Thursday, we are heading accross the bridge and going to head west through the U.P. and on up to Houghton. We'll be coming back via WI and Chicago on Sunday afternoon.
Where are you staying in the Houghton/Hancock area?

The team arrives in town (Houghton) on Wed. before the rally.
We have a shakedown/practice on thursday (not sure if they will allow spectators there, but in the past people have been able to watch freely). Its right by the airport (Alpina) at a test facility.
Friday the rally starts, in the afternoon.
I'll let you guys know more specifically where we will be during the days leading up to the rally so if your in the area you can come check out the cars a little closer.

I live in the Houghton area and would be happy to help with local arrangements if you need them.
Also, I'd love to see the Ralliart cars up close.
