Spencer, IA auto-x (SD, NE, MN area) Aug 8th, 2009
The University of Okoboji Corvette Club puts on a pair of auto-x events each year. The next one is in Spencer, IA on Aug, 8th which is a Saturday.
Details:
SATURDAY, AUGUST 8, 2009
Spencer Airport - 1963 330th St. - Spencer, IA
Autocross registration - $20/driver (must be 18 to race)
Participation plaque to first 50 registered
Free to all spectators!
9am - Registration and tech
10am - Mandatory drivers meeting
10am - 12 - RACING!
6 Classes:
- 1 - C3 and older Vettes
- 2 - C4 Vettes
- 3 - C5/C6 Vettes
- 4 - Women - Vettes
- 5 - Open - non-Vette (Race and Street tires have separate classes)
- 6 - Modified (Z06/ZR1 Vettes)

I know it's a long shot for most, but it'd be nice to see some evos from the SD, IA, NE and even other states join in on the fun! At their last event in Windom, MN, there were about 30 Corvettes, and the rest of the cars were in the open class. A huge variety of really nice cars, even a new GTR was there from WI.
Post up if you plan on attending and spread the word!
