Hi All and Happy Holidays:

It's that time of year to treat yourself to the Christmas present your friends and family will fail to get you.

The second annual St. Louis Area Lotus Lovers (STALLS) and Lotus Ltd. track day at Putnam Park Raceway (www.PutnamPark.com) in Mt. Meridian, IN. Hopefully the weather will be as beautiful as the 2003 event and the driving even more fun.

We've changed the date from September to Monday, June 21st. For those of you wondering why? Let's just say there's this F1 race at Indy Sunday, June 20th some of us would like to see. After watching the F1 boys we can go emulate our favorite F1 driver(s) on the road course at Putnam Park.

HMMM a weekend of speed!

The price is the same as last year $225 for Lotus Ltd. members and $235 for non-members. How about that for no inflation. The same rules apply including limiting the event to 45 cars so we all get plenty of track time again. Like the 2003 event, we will have tech inspections the evening before at a local hotel.

For those of you worried about hotel accommodations with the F1 race, I've blocked 15 double rooms at the Holiday Inn Express (765)795-5050 in Cloverdale IN. under Lotus Ltd. I'm in contact with the Days Inn (765) 795-6400 in Cloverdale, IN to do the same. Both hotels are about 10 minutes from Putnam Park.

Upon receipt of your application and check, I'll forward the track day packet to you with all the pertinent information.

This is near Indianapolis then? Trying to gage the drive from St Louis here.

Since it's a Lotus event, what all kinds of cars would you expect there? What kind of track is it??

It's about 3 1/2 hours from St. Louis to the hotel(s) in Cloverdale, IN. These hotels(we have 25 rooms reserved) are 10 minutes from Putnam Park. Putnam Park is a road course. Go th their web site www.PutnamPark.com to see a map of the track. This is the perfect track and event for novices who have never driven a road course as there is no place to hit a wall (lots of run off in the grass) and we will have instructors on hand.

This is an open event to any type of car that passes tech inspection. If your car is in good shape with no leaks, you'll likely pass tech inspection. Last year we had three Evo's and a 3000 VR4 running with us. I know the VR4 is coming back as I talked to them yesterday. I am interested. This would be my first track event and I understnad that this is a great course for beginners.

Also, I drive an Evo and I understnad that would not be a problem?
