No offense but that whole state sounds like a major **** hole. Every time I read thread about a stolen evo it's always in IL.

I'm 99% sure the evo thiefs on this forum so stop saying what type of alarm you had. Instead you should say you have lojack and the location is being tracked.
Hope you find it.

Im sorry for your loss. This kind of **** pisses me off. My JRSC Type R swapped EK9 went missing a long time ago, no trace at all of anything. Turns out the losers who stole it also stole the tow truck that they used to steal it with, and they got caught red handed with both (my front bumper scraping on the ground tipped off the cop that something wasn't right).

I hope to god that they find it, though I'll tell you from experience... it will never feel the same.

Hey John.

Man i heard about the news at school today.
This has been one of my biggest fears since I got a evo aswell.
Apparently theres been a few ppl going around using a immobilized ECU to steal Evos.
This has been going on for awhile in chicago but recently its been spreading in the suburbs...

I was just talking to Shifthard about this today while I was up at Boostin Performance. Hell, I was nervous about leavin my car sit anywere up in Addison. It sucks you guys are having so much bad luck up there. Pull exactly where you are from off of your avatars too. I did.

These ****bags are on the forums im sure. They lurk around just looking for the show and shine threads with good pics of evso in the chitown area, or the fs threads looking for them.

If I lived there, my evo would never leave the garage.

So sorry to hear man, I hope you find it.

OK. Serious question....

I just can't for the life of me figure this out.....
Why is it such a big deal if your car gets ripped?
This is not a sarcastic question whatsoever.
Personally I could care less if my car gets stolen while I'm out somewhere.
I have comprehensive (theft) insurance though and Allstate will either replace my car with a comparable vehicle or cut me a check. I have ALL my receipts for the mods on my car (no aftermarket stereo--- they will not pay for that anyway).

I'd love to have a check as it would probably be for more than I could sell it for on the street!

Input?

the evo ct9a is surely becoming a classic. new isn't always better for these owners. they can always buy the new X but that is not an option to these owners, hence it is devastating if it gets stolen. most of the stolen ones are well taken cared for evos for the long haul and not just a model that can be flipped with a new one. insurance will surely pay you top dollar for it because of the strong tmv of these cars but you have no evo.

The car was loud, so you'd think someone would have heard the alarm go off or the car start, but nothing. Guy across the street has a yellow Evo that was on his driveway, its still there.[/QUOTE]

Prob because it was yellow! j/k will keep my eye out but that thing is probably in 1000 pieces by now

Maybe because its your **** getting stolen?????????

I dont care if I got a 30k check, if mine got stolen. Id still be pissed about it. If its not a big deal to you, just give me your evo then, and take the check from the insurance.
