IN/IL Evo thief finally busted! Sierra motorsports raided

No his mommy and daddy didnt pay the bills, his uncle did. I knew jeremy for a long time. We hung out every weekend back when he would whip POS hondas. Then he bought an STI and our group of friends would always cruise together. Im going to say this without name dropping but the people he ran around with were all shady and i KNOW for a fact they were involved in theft. This coming from the horses mouth itself. Back then jeremy wasnt though, as far as i know. I recently referred my friend to his shop (on the inside knowing jeremy was involved in some shady ****) But i figured since i was referring my friend and me and him had somewhat of a history where we were pretty cool that he wouldnt screw my friend. He took his car there for a tune and to get the timing fixed. I left all the business transactions to them, i just pointed my friend in his direction. when the car came back my friend was saying it felt/sounded/ and looked different. (he is not very good with cars at all and didnt even really know what an evo was until the day he bought one) Jeremy saw this and took advantage. So far we have found that his cams were stolen and replaced with stock as well as his suspension. Jeremy is lucky he got picked up, if i see him ever again im going to **** him up.

It sickens me to think that there are actually people defending this dirtbag. I am very good friends with one of the people who was arrested and I am also good friends with all the kids who would always be seen hanging around the shop. I warned all of them from the start. Don't hang around Sierra Motorsports because when **** hits the fan, everyone is going down whether or not they did anything.
Saying that the cars have been returned is a lie. The cars are still sitting in the impound lot in Hobart, Indiana where they were originally transported to. Two friends of mine actually work at the auto repair shop that owns the impound lot. One of my best friends had both of his cars impounded because they were at the shop when it was raided. I hope he gets his cars back because he did nothing illegal, but being in the wrong place at the wrong time is hard to escape from. Nowadays with the overabundance of evidence prosecutors have, it is more like guilty until you can prove yourself innocent. All of the arrested are still in jail and I know that for a fact. I was actually put in contact with a detective working the case and was urged to come fourth with any extra evidence I may have. Everything I know the police already knew. Cops can't just get a search and seizure warrant ***** nilly without nearly incontrovertible proof that there is evidence. They found the evidence. No one is innocent here. Selling of stolen goods is a crime as someone else pointed out. Anyone who thinks he simply "didn't know" is sadly mistaken or extremely ignorant. Jeremy attempted to give me Evo IX Recaro seats for my car in exchange for a $300 debt he had to me, the guys on this forum will know that is an extremely bad deal for him. I asked him what were wrong with them and he answered nonchalantly "they're stolen but it's no big deal". I immediately took my money and left. I've long been told by several sources about a forest that Jeremy would dump Evo shells after he stripped them. I was even told by a local former Evo owner that he witnessed Jeremy using a Sawzall to cut a shell in half in his backyard.
I am surprised the FBI hasn't been involved in this because Jeremy has/had a storage unit in Illinois where "hot" cars were stripped and parts were left to "cool off" before they were sold under the guise of Sierra Motorsports.
I was even told by two former employees that when my car blew up and was sitting on the street in front of the house I was renting a room in, Jeremy was considering stealing my car. I received four phone calls warning me about it within a two hour time period. Luckily the auto shipper arrived to pick the car up and transport it back to Arizona before anything could have really come of it.
I know its hard to believe all of this, especially when it comes from a Subaru owner . I've got love for the owners of the cars I hate.

I just hope they bust some of you local guys with having stolen parts on your cars. You guys obviously knew something was up and turned the other way when it came time to buy parts you needed. You don't work for the guy, eat lunch with the guy or hang out at the shop every other day with out knowing whats up. Obviously the local crowd knows the deal because people are getting calls that there **** is on the lift list. I know how the scene works and if there's one or two folks that know, then everyone does.
We've had our own local car theft drama with the hondas, I've seen it before and i know how it works. Except we went to a little more effort to not go and buy our friends parts from the guys stealing them.

I meant some of the parts were stolen none were bought. I didn't say anything bad right? I was half asleep when I wrote my 2nd comment, refer to my first comment about this being true.
EDIT -- Never mind that made no sense ^ Ignore my extra read the underlined.

Didn't read through this thread but I knew there was something up with them, I even pm'd him questioning him about it a couple of months ago, also made a thread on chitowndsm b/c I kept seeing ads on craigslist for evo part outs and a bunch of those dsm kids vouched for them saying it's his friends cars and that he has a shop blah blah, so I let it go.
He was a member on Chitowndsm and has been banned from the site. He was not a very active member.
I know a few people that have had their evo's stolen( actually one friend had two of his stolen :/ ) I hope people get their **** back and this guy pays for what he did. And **** who knows how many shells will never be found because he dumped them.

Good thing we got a detective on the case! ....
I think you were a little jealous of the kid. Mommy and daddy dont pay his bills. Dont get me wrong, he was not the greatest businessman and I do know from past transactions we did. I would not want to buy anything from him again.

From what I was told by one of my friends who works at the shop that owns the impound lot, the cars were transported there after the raid. From my understanding of this, your car was in the chop shop and then transported there by police. I could be wrong on this, because this is one thing I am not positive on.

It makes sense I guess. They probably don't want to say to much if it is an ongoing investigation. They simply said to me that it was in a chop shop and my car is in hobart. I simply assumed that everything was in the same area. If that shop is the only place that got raided wed. then it stands to reason that my car had to have been found there. I was told that my car was recovered from a raid.
Thanks for the info
