re-read mine. the standard clutch is a wearable part, easy and inexpensive to replace. The SST clutches are not, they go, then so does the tranny, as you stated.

Exactly. That's why there's a informational TSB explaining how the SST differs from AT's: no fluid to absorb the shock.

a gear with a SLOW DOWN in it. It comes on in response to an oil temp spike (like when you are holding the brake and a wet clutch starts engaging) at least that is what I think is happening
