UPDATE:

Here are some pics of the prototypes

and

Kris from SSP emailed me stating. "Here is a sneak peak of one of the discs with the first prototype coating on them. They are mirror images of the GTR discs."

and

"The tranny cooler sump is almost out of R&D and will be cut this week. We are expecting to gain 3 to 4 quarts more fluid with the new sump. There will be external bungs so that a aftermarket temp gauge can be used. "

Have there been any prelim hp/tq capacity tests on the SST with/without the clutches to determine thresholds? Or is the aftermarket pump "required"?

Cause if the SST can't take much more than stock and these new clutches can, besides durability, what would be the point in the upgrade?

Anyone have an estimate on install time? From what I'm seeing this would be a two day installation mod. But I'm no mechanic so.

Any shops wanna venture a guess for clutch/cooler install ETCs?

I'm leaving a snail trail just thinking about these clutches and the possibility of 650whp/tq potential...

Press Release it please!

Turbochargers in Houston might be able to do it. They have a great shop.

Depending on how cost effective this is, I may upgrade to an MR at some point. I really like the tranny, just couldn't deal with the potential cost of replacement once you start modding.
