Now for a few of the steels, for those not familiar with a wet clutch system it works using a stack of clutches separated by steel discs making a clutch pack, in this case there is a large pack and a small pack but all the steels are the same as the connect to the inside shaft and the clutches to 2 outer baskets.

yup, the steels will be the same, just nice to replace them if they are worn, I'm sure I didn't need them, I have less then 10000miles on my car, but if I'm gonna do it might as well do it

So Day 1 has already been posted, this was day 2, I got the transmission separated but there was no way I could get it out at all. To separate it form the engine you need about 3 inches min. I got about 1/2-3/4" So at the end of this I knew we would need to drop the engine as well.

Bare in mind the first 2 days were to try and get it out with leaving in the engine so they weren't a full waste but there was lots of wasted time trying to figure it out.

Knowing what I know now I would have done things much differently, I'd have just dropped it all together and unbolted it on the ground, to get the transmission out it's easily doable in one day in a garage with just a few tools, though a cherry picker is HIGHLY recommended and I'm sure you can rent one if need be. Anyhow this was before dropping the engine, just getting brackets and braces out of the way and finding all the bolts, I'll be pointed them out in depth in the howto.

Okay day three, this is where I figured out I had to drop the engine so I had to reconnect the tranny with at least a few bolts didn't want it to fall out on the way down. I got some old tires to set things on I had to drop the power steering fluid in order to drop the K member and I the coolant to drop the engine and I also had to let out the AC, I would HIGHLY recommend getting this done first and properly AC stuff is not healthy, I had no choice but I do not condone just letting it out like I did. This is the proper day this is how it should have been done to start. It was a shorter day if you consider I had to go look for tires then I had to re install and bolt up the tranny. Dropping the engine isn't very hard at all, I keep the down pipe connected and just unbolted it at the test pipe instead.

I have pics of the stockers too, that is what wet clutches look like, same as in bikes too, I'm gonna see if I can dig up pics of doing Dan's clutches on his bike.

not sure yet, I'm waiting on fluid still, but as soon as I can I"ll make sure to give a use review too. I'm hoping later tonight to post the best pics, the SST guts, just trying to limit my selection since I took 78 of them I'm down to 48 but I'd like to only post like 20 of them so I need to limit even more.
