Who modded to stay under 350 torque? What are your mods? How are Clutches holding?

Sorry about your tranny AJ, what do you mean by failed?
As for my own update you can see in the sig I did some modding and I'm at 275/280 ish tuned at CBRD on a mustang dyno. I'm most likely going to the BBX turbo for the lower torque curve. So far the car is great and powered like it should have been from the floor.

All tuned MRs will run approx. 320-330ftlbs torque with the restrictions still in place ..
Actual gearbox limits the torque to 399ftlbs ..
The clutches has been tested to hold that torque level for sustained periods ..

Hi guys, newb question here...when you guys say 300ftlbs of torque, this is torque at the wheels? Correct? The stock torque numbers in the magazines say 300ftlbs which to me does not mean at the wheels. Stock at the wheels torque I've seen is around 260ftlbs from all the threads I've read...so Gunzo, is the 399ftlbs at the wheels? If yes, then all of us MR owners have a lot of room to play with as long as we make smart mods and get expert tuning help.

I belay my last post. Car back to stock. Tranny replaced through warranty. Tranny failed at 320 torque. No track days, no drag strip, just daily driving. Tranny failed at 14k and less than a year

Thank you for the input guys ! I'm considering getting some mods. BUT as for stock,
What's the max it can be tuned ? I saw one posting that 305 whp with only K&N drop in was achieved. Does it look right ?

I'm running about 281whp and 312 wtq. Have been running this for almost a year now, no issues, but tranny slips under heavy acceleration from 1st to 2nd in sport mode. S Sport mode pretty much eliminates slip issues. Having said that, I need to do some transmission upgrades as my next move before adding more power.

I'm running 328/350 whp/ torque after ETS HFC, quiet exhaust, drop in filter, uicp and tune.
Cars currently getting de-tuned to reduce the torque ( aiming for 320-330 level) as I'm over protective of the tranny.
In the short time that I ran the car with the above numbers, I had no issues with the SST, just want to play safe.

so you can get your desired approximate whp by calculating .. either 320ftlbs for those who doesn't know how to tune MRs .. or 399ftlbs for the few that do ..
The slippage that everyone 'feels' are the clutches opening up when approaching the 320ftlbs limit..
All tuned MRs will run approx. 320-330ftlbs torque with the ECU limits still in place ..
Actual gearbox limits the torque to 399ftlbs wheels ..
The stock clutches has been tested to hold that torque level for sustained periods ..

That's happening to me currently... What are the steps that need to be taken to approach that 399ftlbs mark? And/or who are those few?
