I'm not going to argue either. it's 50/50 all the time, just like all the evos. It's a mechanical limitation that CANNOT be changed unless you put a different diff in the car. The diff does not work like the STi diff whatsoever. I'm not really sure why it's even a question anymore.

The things you are" feeling" has to do with ACD strategy of lockup. IE, it locks up quicker in "snow" then tarmac, and that has to also do with steering input and angle.

ASC gives the illusion of forward/aft pull or push because of the braking assist / AYC assist / throttle assist strategies.

WOW, u guys are experts... Don't stop I'm making the notes here
So sounds like the "one-push" ASC off is my best bet for Auto-X with S-Sport mode?

One push off ASC yes. I'll let the other SST guys weigh in on S-Sport mode, but I thought my friends with paddle shifters liked them in pure manual. I don't know about the Evo's but other cars can be neurotic and up/down all the time, esp when you lift off the throttle being "tentative" coming into a corner or something. Not having to worry about the clutch so you can get onto the gas earlier into the turn, before the apex, now that's fast. I"m still practicing my heel-toe everyday -- I suck -- and the SST makes that unnecessary.

S-Sport in manual mode is what you want for the track. No question about that one.

When I did the Evolution Experience at Infineon in Sonoma we did a little autocross.

I am obviously inexperienced at autocross but i've had my X since they came out.

In the stock MR at the course I did much much better with Super Sport and i just left the ASC off.

Maybe I should go easy on the gas padel, or maybe the animal would like to be slowed down LOL. Anyway, what the manual says "S-Sport was designed for a closed track only" IMO was very true ! Anyone got same feeling as mine?
PS: still new to the car as well as the Auto-X
