About to buy back the Evo X MR gotta question...

Ok guys 7 months ago i sold my evo x mr 2008 with 10500miles,the guy i sold it to has an emergency and needs to sell the car the car has 15400miles the car is completly stock except for a works drop in air filter which i myself gave it to him when i sold the car except that i didnt use the filter for daily use only when i wanted to do spirited driving,
Now the question is that i feel the car when in first gear you press the accelerator slowly you can feel sometimes a jerkiness like if the car vibrates like maybe the clutch aint grabbing well but this 7 months ago i didnt feel it what do you guys think it is

IMO it's not possible to wear out the clutches in 15k on a stock X MR, unless there is a major problem with the transmission. Sometimes in colder climates it can be jerky until the fluid temps warm up. Not sure what part of Cali you're in or what the temps are there. Did it go away, and was it only in first gear, and what mode were you driving in?

Ask him why is he selling it? (be nosey lol) maybe he messed it up and wants to get rid of it cause they wont cover it in the warranty or something. Sometimes people can be shady at time ya know!

even with 15000 miles and a drop in I don't see why mitsu wouldn't cover it under warranty unless the warranty expired. Mine jerks a bit from first to second in normal mode before it warms up when it's colder outside.

This, as long as the mods are before the maf and after the cat, you're good for warranty. I'm with Jeremy on this as it being contributed to colder weather. If it isn't and it persists, take it to mitsu and have them replace the transmission under warranty.

I sometimes feel that "jerkiness" too and my MR has 18k miles on it. But it goes away once the car is warmed up. I think this is normal for our tranny.
