Tranny filter - can it be serviced?
Hi all,
It is my understanding that the SST transmission filter has a paper core, and as such, not serviceable. Is this correct? From pictures I have seen on-line, it does appear to be paper.
I have had the fluid changed, but the shop I'm dealing with insists the filter can be cleaned. The filter has not been changed before, so it no doubt contains debris from the break-in period.
As I have always changed the tranny filter (paper core) with the fluid on other vehicles, it would seem reasonable to do so with this one as well.
Comments?
Thanks.
