They track their car. The cooling issues with the engine and transmission is more important at the moment to resolve than having an intercooler. If you read the article, you will see that they mention the track temps, and limp mode.

so far in crap commute 405N to the valley (past the 10 and Past the 101)..which for the record, really isnt a good enough test.. oil temps have not gone past 190. Water temps are not affected so far by the addition of the SST cooler above the crash beam. i am still on stock radiator for now...
i haven't installed my SST oil temp sensor yet, that will probably be a while, so i can take adequate delta measurements.
