All About SST Fluid

Just did my first 30,000 trans oil change, I didn't think I needed it but the car really is shifting much smoother now.
I used ffl-2 (Cost was 132.00 for 8l, including shipping) and a stocker filter from ebay(120 including shipping). It took me about 3 hours and that included installing a evo x licp while doing the change.
So, for the $252 spent and 3 hours of my time I am feeling much less stress about my "ticking time bomb".

Same here, I changed my sst fluid with ffl2 last week. I didnt think I needed it either, my oil came out pretty clean and this is after a million launches and 2 slow down dash warnings. It feels a little bit smoother but my transmission wasnt acting up to begin with, I shouldve waited a little bit longer. Total cost was 275 with filter

This thread is a bit funny for me, I bought mu first Lancer in 1975 - guess what?
All the FSMs were full of "use DIAQUEEN type x" blah blah blah"
And if the dealership had said oil it cost a motsa compared to the regular stuff.
Needless to say there was not a lot of DIAQUEEN oil used in Australian rally cars back then.
