Transmission Rattle at Start-Up and Shutdown

Transmission Rattle at Start-Up and Shutdown
I have hours of research on the SST noise topic, but have a hard time concluding if the noises I hear are normal.
The car is a 2010 with 19K miles.
On start up I will hear/feel a rattle in the floorboard... which sounds like an exhaust rattle, but is absolutely not.
I confirmed that the noise at idle is coming from the transmission... more toward the front near the engine.
On engine shutdown it rattles similar to start-up (can feel in floorboard) but a little less prominent.
If it wasn't for this absolutely aggravating issue I would call the SST flawless... I love how it drives.
Anyone else experience rattles in the floorboard?

It scared me at first, because it sounded like rod knock. But apparently after XX,XXX amount of miles it seems to be pretty common among all MR owners. Looks like 30k miles is the lucky number.

From what I read/can tell its. Neutral or Park idle only. And the noise is coming from the clutch plates being disengaged.

When you restart a car after 4 hours of inactivity SST makes self diagnostic by changing gears to 1st and reverse. Due to the defect in the transmission it stucks in R while changing to 1st. It's more or less easy to fix. I will post later how.

Mounts are all stock!
Neutral and Park it does do it occasionally. It also does it in Drive while stationary.
Say I am sitting at a light for 20 seconds... some times it will rattle for 5 seconds where I feel it in the floor, and the next time I am at a light it may not do it at all.
Mine also reminded me of rod knock... quite disturbing sound.
Self diagnostic theory is interesting. My problem is this happens during cranking...before engine had started?
Thanks for the replies guys!

Torque dampers rattle. If you ever heard a GTR before it has the bell housing done, they will sound a lot like that. Because the dampers are so expensive, normally they are just left alone until you either get a code for it or the clutch is out for some other reason.
It could be anything else too, but without actually hearing it myself, all I can do is point out another potential source.

When cold, I get a grinding noise followed by a thump. It sounds like a gear grinding into place within the SST. It is newly rebuilt and I just had the relearn (or whatever it is called) done. Everything else is fine.
